Dr. Whitney L. Koeppen
I have over twenty years of experience--all in middle school. I have a BS degree in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston, a Master's degree from Clemson University in Educational Leadership, an Educational Specialist degree and a Doctorate of Education from the University of the Cumberlands. I taught English and Social Studies in West Columbia, SC, Ware Shoals, SC and Goshen, KY. I served as Associate Principal at South Oldham Middle School is Crestwood, KY for 8 years before moving back to SC in 2021. For the 2021-2022 school year, I served as assistant principal at Hardeeville-Ridgeland Middle School.
I was born and raised in Orangeburg, SC and have been a resident of McCormick since the end of June 2022. I am married to my husband, Mark, who is originally from Greenwood, SC. We have three Entlebucher Swiss Mountain Dogs--Kocoa, Klark and Kooper. I am thrilled and honored to serve the students, teacher, parents and community of McCormick Middle School.
