Welcome! I am the Instructional Coach for MMS.
I am in my 29th year as an educator. I graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education in Elementary Education. I also have a Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Clemson University. I received National Board Certification in 2008, and renewed this certification in 2018.
My responsibilites with MMS and MHS include being the testing coordinator for both schools. I also am the Odysseyware Academy (OWA) coordinator, which includes enrolling students in courses, monitoring student progress, and communicating with students, parents and facilitators. I work with teachers on instructional strategies, carry out classroom visits, and lead a school club for middle school Mock Trial.
I am married to Neal Willis, my husband of 32 years. We have two children, Langley and Addy, who are both successful products of McCormick County Schools. We are recent empty-nesters, as Langley has moved out on his own, and Addy was married in March of this year.
In my free time, I love to travel! I want to experience new things and see as many places as possible! One of my favorite experiences has been parasailing on a vacation in Florida. My favorite city I have visited thus far is New York. I have plans to keep having fun!
