Mrs. Shelonda Fuller

Greetings! My name is Shelonda Fuller, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 12th year teaching at McCormick Middle School. This school year (2021-2022) I am honored to be teaching 8th grade English Language Arts.

I was born in Augusta, GA and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina from ages 2- 18. Currently, I live in Georgia with my husband (Ferric), my daughter (Adrienna), and my 4-legged son (King).  I enjoy cooking, traveling, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family.

I am a United States Navy Veteran, proudly serving my country from 1992-2008.  I attended Salisbury H.S. all four years of high school and graduated with honors. I continued my education at North Carolina A & T for my freshman and sophomore years. I later joined the United States Navy as an Air Traffic Controller.

After transitioning in 2002 from active duty in the Navy to the Naval Reserves, I began my formal training to earn my BS Degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Augusta University. I graduated in 2004 with my BS degree in Criminal Justice. After working in the Continuing Education Department at Augusta University for a few years, I was encouraged by some fantastic College professors to continue my education in order to become a teacher. In the Spring of 2009, I received my Masters in Arts in Teaching Middle Grades.  In January 2019, I obtained my Specialist degree for Educational Leadership and Administration from Capella University.

In July 2009 I was officially hired as a Middle Grades Science teacher at McCormick Middle School. Throughout my years at MMS, I have taught all grades at MMS and numerous subjects including Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts.
